OUR INTRODUCTION TO OUR CSA HAS STARTED STRONG !

BE A MEMBER OF OUR CSA AND SUPPORT OUR FARM AND OUR PARTNERED FARMS

LEARN MORE -- As a member, you will be supporting our Farm and partnered Farms so we can continue to buy more seeds, tools, etc, and to keep providing all of you with fresh, organic Food.

You will receive a "basket" of our fresh local veggies, herbs, and other goodies to enjoy every week, every other week, or on a one time basis . Our baskets will include ONLY LOCAL ORGANIC produce / items. Each basket will feed a family of 2 to 4 people. We are introducing our baskets for only $15 and includes a variety of our Fall crops. It may include zucchini, cucumbers, greens, and herbs, or ? . The variety of produce will change every week. You can join (no cost to join) and enjoy a one-time basket or weekly baskets. (this offer may change in 2012 Spring)

Our Fall crops are ready to load into each basket for a limited time since the Fall/ Winter season will end by first frost. We may continue throughout the winter since we have our hoop houses to protect our crops from freezing.

Come out and be the first to join our CSA -- you'll LOVE FRESH !

I want to thank all of you who have volunteered your precious time to help at our Farm and supported us to continue our efforts to bring our "Community Together thru FOOD" and to share what we Grow to those in need as well.

GOOD NEWS . . . if you live in the South or East part of town, or can't get to our Farm we will be making arrangements to deliver to a designated location in your area. Our mobile refrigerated veggie van will keep your "baskets" cold and fresh. (we would like to have a minimum of 10 members in these areas.)

Our 3rd Food Preservation Workshop will be Saturday, October 22nd. Get ready to impress your family and friends with your own delicious homemade tomato products. We'll be creating and canning the freshest tomato’s and marinades possible. Besides then you know what is in your canning product!!

Let’s get ready for fall; it’s not too late to enjoy the bounty of wonderful products we have available to preserve. Learn how to “slip tomatoes” and can wonderful tasty tomatoes. Make it Italian, why pay the high cost of “stewed tomatoes” in a can when you can put your own up on your selves to use later?

This is going to be so much fun be sure to RSVP as soon as possible SPACE IS LIMITED.

Just remember to bring your apron and your curiosity and we will teach you the USDA guidelines for safe canning of tomato products and have fun to boot!!

All equipment, utensils, and spices will be provided as well as canning jars and lids. Each participant will have hands-on experience and go home with a share of the completed jars. 

Your instructors are Certified Master Preservers and follow USDA regulations. We will have other workshops in this series are as follows: Fruits, James Jellies, Pie Fillings, Steam Juicing, Dehydrating, and more.
